AD =x ആയാല്‍ DC=50-x ആകുമല്ലോ. തന്നിരിക്കുന്ന വ്യവസ്ഥ അനുസരിച്ച്
30+x+BD=50-x+40+BD
x=30
AD=30, DC=20 ആകുമല്ലോ

ED/BC=AD/AC
ED/40=30/50
ED=(30x40)/50=24
AE/30=30/50
AE=18
BE=30-18=12
BD= √(122+242
= 12√5

Dear Mathematics teachers,maths lovers and readers
Thank you very much for making additions to my post ,the problem related to the trianular field.
@Desertfox
I have to appreciate you first because your entrance in this blog is through my post.
It is the first correct solution.I expect your valuable comments and contributions in future also.Before observing your profile I told Hari sir,one of the blog developers that desertfox is a professional engineer.We,the teachers can feel it from your sudden answer.Thank you very much

@Bhama teacher and Vijayan sir are our team members.Their comments always enrich the blog . Without them no post goes to backpages.I also make comments on their posts .Thakyou verymuch.

@ The most important person on the post is Thomas sir.Many times I feel his extraordinary vision on Geometrical problems.I feel a real ,talented mind on him.If the problem is on geometry,Thomas sir will have his own way.Thankyou thomas sir
@ Shal I ask a question?
Name a talented,hardworking ,intellgent, non mathematics teacher ,SITC who has a strong determination to open the mathsblog post first in the morning.Thanks for that person in the name of mathemtics teachers Thank you Geetha teacher.
@ thank you for all unknown readers who are decided to use the question in the class for the benift of children. Special thanks to Suboth sir.

A list, TPFP, IT Exam

In the year 1871 a mathematician named Augustus D'MORGAN died
De Morgan made a statement about his age.He said that he was X years in the year X squared.Can you make a reasonable year in which he was born
( I think a good activity to start algebra )

age: logical: his age shpuld be below 100.that is the perfect square is above 1771.it may be 1849.if it so it is the square of 43 and he died in the age of 65. born in 1806.the next square is 1936 ,not possible.so the answer is 1806 +43=1849,sq of 43.

Thank you Vijayan sir

JOHN P A November 16, 2009 at 1:56 PM

Dear Anil sir
I would like to make some comments about angle trisection again
Thousands of years back Greek mathematicians proved the following statements
1 Trisecting an arbitary angle(not a particular angle)
2squaring a circle
3 duplicating a cube
These are impossible by a compass and straight edge.
we are doing with special angles.
More clearly
method suitable for an acute angle cannot fit for obtuse and right angles
So many methods are available in the netfor special angles

VIJAYAN N M November 16, 2009 at 4:55 PM

pl post the meaning of"squaring a circle". is it doubling the area of a cicle? is it constuct a square with the same area of a circle? I think both are possible with compass and st edged scale( john sir did not approve) comment after verifying the old posts related this qn.

JOHN P A November 16, 2009 at 5:15 PM

Shall I quote a historically popular ,which is propagated as an impossible one in the words of a famous auther .
There is no ruler and compass construction procedure whereby a) an arbitary angle can be trisected,b) a square can be constructed with area equal to that of a given circle c)a line segment with length rube root of 2 ,d)Duplication of a cube.
he continued...
Proving these negative statements involves a lot of higher mathematical chalenges.

Geetha teacher
I saw your image formation in the link. Very good.But you must accept one thing. Physics and all physical sciences ,Even economics are simple but meaningful generalisation of MATHEMATICS.
also,Mathematics is the gensral abstractions of things and ideas in the universe.On other hand, Everything in the universe is the visulization of mathematical ideas
That is why our ancient great people hasitate to make compartments in the subjects.For them "knowledge" is the only object of study

Shall I give a simple question
Recall the story of HARE AND TORTOISE
* The race is 10 km
* The speed of hare is 10 times that of tortoise
* The tortoise takes 2 and half hours to complete the race
* The hare arrives the finishing point 30 seconds after tortoise
* How long does the hare sleep?

Anonymous November 16, 2009 at 8:18 PM

2 Hours.15 minutes.30 seconds.

vijayan November 16, 2009 at 9:51 PM

night post:make 24.using only the numbers 1,3,4,6 together with operations +,-,/,* and unlimited use of brackets make the number 24.each number must be used precisely once.decimal points are not allowed.

is anil from skmj kalpatta ? if so guess me.

vijayan November 16, 2009 at 9:53 PM

all the digits are there (0...9)in the above addition

Muraleedharan.C.R November 16, 2009 at 9:57 PM

all digits ae there ie 0,1,2,.....9

VIJAYAN N M November 17, 2009 at 7:00 AM

? what happened to the morning alarms/bloggers/geetha/bhama/thomas/azees/murali sirs and madems? now it is 6 am.takesome problems and comment. or make 24 using 1 ,3,4,6.
t u

JOHN P A November 17, 2009 at 6:27 PM

Yes Vijayan sir
I so your new problem just now.
Ans
6/(1-3/4) = 24
good for lower classes and first chapter of IX standard

JOHN P A November 17, 2009 at 6:32 PM

Shall I give one more?
USE FOUR 4'S TO MAKE ALL DIGITS FROM 0 TO 9
This may be a simple question for most of the mathematics teachers.

vijayan November 17, 2009 at 6:33 PM

t u john sir.
evening post "COW*COW=DEDCOW" supply separate digits

vijayan November 17, 2009 at 6:47 PM

44-44=0
44/44=1
4*4/4+4=2
(4+4+4)/4=3
complete the following

vijayan November 17, 2009 at 6:57 PM

4+4*(4-4)=4

(4*4+4)/4=5
(4+4)/4 +4=6
4-4/4+4=7
4+4+4-4=8
4+4+4/4=9+
(44-4)/4=10
now try with 6 sixes to get 1 to 10.

JOHN P A November 17, 2009 at 7:34 PM

A mathematics teacher in VII standard asked a problem. It seems to be very nice for learning laws of exponents
x raised to y = y raised to x
y = 2x
find x and y by applying laws
I solved it . it looks very nice

Anonymous November 17, 2009 at 8:32 PM

(a)x raised y=y raised x..(1)
(b) y=2x....(2)
(c) Giving value of y in (1)
(d) x raised 2x=2x raised x
(e)(x raised x) (x raised x)=(2 raised x) ( x raised x)

(f)x raised x=2 raised x

(g)x=2
(h)giving this value in (2)
(i)y=4

6+6+6/6+6+6=1
6+6+6+6/6+6=2
6/6+6/6+6/6=3
(6+6)/6+(6+6)/6=4
6+6+6+6+6/6=5
6*6+6*6/6+6=6
6*6+6+6-6/6=7
66-6-6-6/6=8
6*6+6+6+6/6=9

vijayan November 17, 2009 at 9:31 PM

shall we continue the fence problem?
if the fence divides the
area in two equal parts( parappalave thullyam) . what will be the length of fence? we found four solutions to calculate if the length of the fence is equal. which solution is applicable to get the answer of my question ?
expectig comments from those who initiated to solve the qn at first.

JOHN P A November 17, 2009 at 10:09 PM

Really nice Thomas sir

vijayan November 17, 2009 at 10:12 PM

dear thomas sir and john sir I want to get the length of the fence with solution before going to bed.(the answer is nice but the way ...?

Anonymous November 18, 2009 at 8:29 AM

vijan sir,
Now
Cosider the areas are equal
AB=40,BC=30,AC=50
let D be the point on AC such that areas are equal
Then AD=DC=25
Now draw perpendicular fromD to CB & BA meeting at E & F
triangle AED,ABC are simillar..gives ED=15
Again Triangle CFD,CBA are simillar ....gives BE=20

Hence BD=25
am i right sir
thomas

vijayan November 18, 2009 at 11:05 AM

dear thomas sir,
your ans is right and easy to calculte. find other ways to calculate the length and applications related with area and perimeter of such triangles.
