Visualization of Limit

As we know Calculus is a branch of Mathematics which mainly deals with the study of change in the value of a function as the points in the domain change.  To known more about this branch, we need to understand limiting process in greater clarity.

Here a ready to use Geogebra Applet is provided to visualize the concept of limit for any real valued function.
How to use the Geogebra Applet?

1. Type the function for which limit has to be evaluated in the input box.
For example, to visualize the limit of the function

   (i)

Type     if[x<=2,x^2+4,x>2,x^2-4]        or       if[x<=2,x^2+4,x^2-4] in the input box

   (ii)

Type    if[x<2,x^2,2<=x<=3,2x,x>3,x]     or      if[x<2,x^2,2<=x<=3,2x,x] in the input box

2. Using Slider 'a' [Slider 1 as shown in the picture above] we can fix the point at which the limit as to be evaluated

3. By moving Slider 'h' [Slider 2 as shown in the picture above] we can make h tends to 0.  If the limit exists, it will be displayed as shown in the picture below.
