DA and DR; 10 % Increase Ordered

In G.O (P) No.211/2009/Fin dated 02/06/2009 Government have ordered 10% increase in Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief to State Government Employees and State Government Pensioners with effect from 01/01/2009.

The revised rate of DA will be paid in cash with the salary due for the month of June 2009 onwards. The arrear for the period from 01/01/2009 to 31/05/2009 will be drawn and credited to the PF account of the employee along with the salary bill for the month of June 2009 to December 2009.

In the case of Pensioners, the revised Dearness Relief due from 01/01/2009 along with the arrears upto June 2009 will be released in cash along with the pension of July 2009 (due on 1st July).

Along with the G.O Government have also issued Circular No.46/2009/Fin dated 04/06/2009 to communicate the authorization of the Accountant General (Kerala) to the Treasury Officers for effecting the payment of revised rates of Dearness Relief.
