കത്തെഴുതാന്‍, ആശയങ്ങള്‍പങ്കുവക്കാന്‍, എന്തിന് 'കൊച്ചുവര്‍ത്താനം' പറയാന്‍പോലും പലരും ഇന്ന് ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നത് കമ്പ്യൂട്ടറിനെയാണ്. എന്നാല്‍ ഇ.മെയില്‍, ബ്ലോഗ്, ചാറ്റ് തുടങ്ങിയ കമ്പ്യൂട്ടര്‍ സംവിധാനങ്ങള്‍ കാര്യക്ഷമമായി ഉപയോഗപ്പെടുത്താന്‍ ഭാഷ പലര്‍ക്കും തടസ്സമാകാറുണ്ട്. നമ്മുടെ കമ്പ്യൂട്ടറുകള്‍ക്ക് ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് അല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊരു ഭാഷയും വശമില്ലാത്തത് തന്നെ കാരണം. മലയാളത്തില്‍ ചിന്തിക്കുന്ന നമ്മള്‍ ഇംഗ്ലീഷില്‍ ആശയവിനിമയം നടത്താന്‍ നിര്‍ബന്ധിതരാകുമ്പോള്‍ പ്രയാസം നേരിടുക സ്വാഭാവികമാണ്. ഈ പ്രശ്നത്തെ മറികടക്കാന്‍ പുത്തന്‍ സാങ്കേതികവിദ്യ ഇന്ന് ലഭ്യമാണ്. അതെ നമ്മുടെ കമ്പ്യൂട്ടറുകളും നമ്മെ പോലെ മലയാളം സംസാരിക്കാന്‍ തുടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു!

How to mount the drives of windows in linux.

Desktop --> Administration--> Disks
click on partitions
Select the partition you want to mount
Change the Access path
click on enable
then the windows will open as a folder.
you can drag the files to your desktop
close all other windows

please try to give the following information also
is it ethernet or USB connection or wireless ?
is it BSNL or airtel or any other ?
(also, what is the phone number, username, password)
1. if it is ethernet connection, we just have to configure network (and set username and password in the modem itself)
2. if it is USB, try the command wvdialconf in root terminal. We may have to edit the thus configured file wvdial.conf by
#gksu gedit /etc/wvdial.conf
add phone number, username and password in this file
then connect by the command $wvdial
3. if it is wireless, we need a wireless driver for the wireless card in the system if it is there.
