ReplyDeletedear stephan
ReplyDeleter/l = 4/7
r = 4 l/ 7
LSA = 3.14*4 l/ 7*l = 1792
l(square) = 998.7(nearly)
l = 31.6 (nearly)
r = 18.05

ReplyDelete1.A solid is in such a shape that a cone is attached to the base of a hemisphere.Height of cone is equal to the diameter of hemisphere.If we melts this solid into spheres of Diameter 1/3 that of the diameter of hemisphere, find the volume of the solid & No: of spheres made?
ReplyDelete2. Height of a cone is 24 c.m.Its LSA is 550 cm*cm. find its volume???
can I get the Ans of these Q plzzzzz??????????
@ stephen mm
ReplyDeleteThe first question you asked is easy . Let me go to second
$\pi rl=550$
$rl= \frac{550}{\pi}$
$rl=175$
$r^2l^2=30625$
$r^2+24^2=l^2$
$$r^2(r^2+576)=30625$
Put $r^2=x$
$x(x+576)=30625$
$x^2+576x-30625=0$
Just solve we get x
take the positive squere root of x ,This will be r
Find vol

ReplyDelete1.There are 50 members in a club.The members gave shake hands to each other. How many shake hands are there in all??
ReplyDelete@nike
ReplyDeleteThe first person gave shake hands to the rest 49 persons. Suppose, for the sake of simplicity, that he moved away from the group after his work of shaking hands with others was over. Then the 2nd person gave shake hands to all the other 48. In the same way the 3rd person gave shake hands to 47 people. So there were 49+48+47+...+1 shake hands. It is the sum of the first 49 natural numbers. ie, 49X50/2 = 1225
The sum of three consecutive terms of Ap is 18 and their product is 162 find the three terms.
ReplyDeleteSir please can I get the answer of this question
To Fathima:
ReplyDeleteLet the middle term be x
Then,
(x-d)+x+(x+d)=18
From this we get x=6.
Then,
x(x-d)(x+d)=162
i.e, 6(6-d)(6+d)=162
From this find d.
Then we will get the three consecutive terms as 3,6,9
Given. Polynomial p(x) =2x3-11x2+17x-6
ReplyDeleteIf p(x)=(x-2)×Q(x)+R then find R and find Q(x)
@ fathima sharafudeen
ReplyDeleteR=p(2)=2*8-11*4+17*2-6
= 16-44+28
= 44-44
= 0
2x3-11x2+17x-6=(x-2)(ax2+bx+C)+R
ax3+x2(b-2a)+x(c-2b)-2c
a=2 c-2b=17
c+14=17
b-2*2=-11 c=17-14=3
b-4=-11
b=-7
therefore Q(x)=2x2-7x+3
Thanks for the answer but I understood upto how did you form the equation but rest is the problem if you could tell me how we get the a;b;c value it will be a great favour. Also I would like to ask you that when an algebraic form of an Ap is given how to form the algebraic form of sum of first n terms of the Ap
ReplyDelete@fathima sharafudeen $P(x)=2x^{3}-11x^{2}+17x-6$
ReplyDeleteGiven that $P(x)=(x-2)Q(x)+R$
Putting x=2 we get,
$P(2)=(2-2)\times Q(x)+R\Rightarrow$
$R=P(2)=$
$2\times2^{3}-11\times2^{2}+17\times2-6$
$=2\times8-11\times4+34-6=$
$16-44+34-6$
$=50-50=0$
Let Q(x) be $ax^{2}+bx+c$
But $(x-2)\times Q(x)+R=P(x)$ and $R=0\Rightarrow$
$(x-2)(ax^{2}+bx+c)=$
$2x^{3}-11x^{2}+17x-6$
Equating the coefficients of $x^{3}$on both sides
a=2
Equating the coefficients of $x^{2}$on both sides
$b-2a=-11\Rightarrow$
$b=-11+2\times2=-11+4=-7$
Equating the coefficients of x on both sides
$c-2b=17\Rightarrow$
$c=17+2\times(-7)=17-14=3$
$\therefore Q(x)=2x^{2}-7x+3$
thankyou sir
ReplyDeletethankyou sir
ReplyDeleteThank you
ReplyDelete@ Fathima Sharafudeen
ReplyDeleteAlgebraic form of an AP is in the form nd+f-d. So if it is given, we can easily find out the first term and cd without much computations.For eg, nth term=4n-3
From this, cd=4
and, as f-d=-3, f can be calculated as 1
Sn is in the form d/2n^2+(f-d/2)n
Substituting the values of f and d, Sn can be found out.
Please enplane Question no 9 on package 3
ReplyDeleteSum of the first and last terms of an ap having 20 terms is 100 find sum of first 5 terms and last 5 lerms of this ap can I get the answer please
ReplyDeleteFathima
ReplyDelete$500$ എന്ന് ഉത്തരം കിട്ടും.
$2f+19d=100$എന്ന് കിട്ടിക്കാണുമല്ലോ.
$\frac{5}{2}(2f+4d)+\frac{5}{2}(f+19d+f+15d)$
$=\frac{5}{2}(4f+38d)$
$2\times \frac{5}{2}(2f+19d)$
$=5\times 100=500$
Thank you John Sir !!!
ReplyDeleteNow only I found the question answered. Any how.
Sum of the first and the last terms = Sum of the second and the second last terms = Sum of the third and the third last terms = ...... =100.
The required sum = 5 X 100 = 500
